Portrait (from past participle of Old French portraire, to portray) is a genre of fine arts dedicated to representation of a person or a group of persons. The portrait photography (staged and
non-staged) reproduces individual features of appearance, reveals the inner life, the character and the mood of persons pictured. Using different art techniques, the author can convey his own
subjective attitude toward the character being portrayed.
