As is generally known, a rock is a naturally occurring solid aggregate of minerals and/or mineraloids, with steep or sheer slopes and pointed peaks.
However, firstly, rocky formations in different countries can be covered by a ground layer of variable thickness (that is, they are not just bare cliffs).
Secondly, the name Toprak-Kaya exists among geographical names. This name means "rock out of dirt, ground rock" (in Turkic languages, the word "toprak" means "clay, ground, soil, dirt,
earth"). Toprak-Kaya is a local name of the cape of Chameleon in the Crimea (this cape separates the Quiet Bay from the Coctebel Bay). The existence of this Turkic toponym was considered
when choosing the name of the series.
And thirdly, Amazons are known as a mythological people (probably, of Turkic origin) of only women. In this connection, such a half-fantastical shade of meaning was attached to the name of
this series.
